Venezuela Collaborates with Russia to Avoid US Oil Sanctions

By in

According to recent sources and several documents leaked from Mexico City, the President of Venezuela Mr Nicolas Maduro has been attempting to evade US oil sanctions by using Russian state energy giant Rosneft to help him to send the country illicit profits from Venezuelan oil sales. The US hope the sanctions will eventually destabilise his government out of power.

The proposed payment mechanism is the latest sign of the growing proximity of Venezuela’s cash-strapped government to Russia as the US tries to tighten their financial hold on the unlawful Venezuelan President and residents of venezuela; who describe it being in a dictatorship.
