Ukraine Releases Plans to Tighten its Anti-corruption Controls

Ukraine has significantly tightened its institutional anticorruption measures, expanding disclosure requirements and a list of assets to be reported. Now, the list of such assets includes cryptocurrencies, as well as assets of trusts and similar organisations the beneficial owners of which are filers or members of their families. The new legislation, which comes into force on January 1st, 2020, also expands the category of persons to whom it will be applicable.
