According to sources, since March 27th, Twitter will follow the example of Facebook and Google, and will begin to impose a ban on advertising related to cryptocurrencies. This ban should be finalised in a few weeks when Twitter updates its advertising policy.
The new policy will affect the ICO, as well as the virtual currencies sale. The ban will also apply to the advertising of cryptocurrency exchanges and crypto services, but only if they are not public companies listed on certain major stock exchanges or cryptocurrency exchanges regulated by the Japanese state.
It’s worth mentioning that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is also the CEO of Square, which develops systems for e-payments. Recently, developers have added bitcoin support to their systems. Actually, Dorsey himself is a supporter of bitcoin and even made investments in the Lightning Labs group that created the Lightning Network.
