By in

The Green Party opposed the investment scheme which makes it possible to acquire Cyprus citizenship through so-called ‘golden visas’. It is reported that representatives of the Green Party want to increase transparency in granting citizenship to wealthy foreigners and in this regard have made a proposal aimed at increasing transparency in relation to citizenship under the investment scheme.

Animal advocates proposed revising the details of the government scheme: the criteria for making it possible to provide a Cypriot passport. In order to comply with all legislation, they submitted a document in the form of certain legislative orders to Cyprus Parliament. Therefore, the Green Party leader hopes to improve Citizenship through investment programme since the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus are entitled to remedy any violations that arise during the implementation of this investment scheme.
