As Singapore continues to push technological boundaries in attempts to become an entirely Smart Nation; the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) released plans to create a set of standardised specifications aimed to make cashless payments a reality in the city-state. The taskforce directed to carry out testing’s has said that it hopes to have the digital payment system available for use by the end of the year, with both domestic and international payments being accepted, it is anticipated.
