Singapore has remained at the top as the city with the highest quality of living in Asia for expats according to an annual Mercer index released on Tuesday the 20th March.
On a global scale, Singapore ranked 25th after cities such as Vienna and Amsterdam which was 13th in the Mercer Quality of Living survey.
The results are based on individual reports from each city which were mostly analysed between September and November last year. Following this, the index is usually used to allow multinational companies and various other companies to compensate employees fairly while placing them on international assignments.
In addition, the quality of living and infrastructure in Singapore has continuously outperformed the other cities in Asia. This is despite the fact the index demonstrates that other cities in Asia have seen a big boost in standards of living as a result of more affluent populations according to sources.
