Singapore has been listed as the healthiest country in Asia and the fourth healthiest country globally, according to the Bloomberg Global Health Index. The city-state beat New Zealand, Japan and Australia, coming behind only Iceland, Switzerland and Italy out of 163 countries. The index uses variables such as based on variables such as life expectancy, lifestyle choices such as tobacco use, and basic provisions such as the availability of clean water.
