Singapore Law Society applauded for Junior Lawyer mentor scheme

By in

The Singapore Law Society has announced a new interpersonal mentor scheme at a collective bar meeting held last week. Going forward, Junior Lawyers (qualified individuals who have been working in the legal sector for five years or less) can request a mentor via the Law Society scheme, who can then pair them with a senior Advisor for any advice on ethical dilemmas, career counselling and other legal related queries.

Senior Lawyers who wish to partake in the mentoring scheme can sign up with the Law Society. Representatives say that this will look great for the profile of the Mentor, and also help with the emotional stress of taking on such a demanding job.
