Singapore hotel hopes to replace workers with robots to increase customer service satisfaction

Singapore is taking hospitality to another level, after a hotel in the city-state has taken steps towards offering fully robotic service and automation, which is hoped to enhance guest’s customer service and increase productivity. The hotel of the future in Singapore thinks guests will be able to check in ahead of arrival either online or via an app; a robot can then serve them drinks according to their pre-selected preferences, offer a (no tip required!) concierge service for their luggage and deliver speedy room service orders. Room entry will most likely be keyless, again using an app or automatic sensor.
