Russian gas pipeline project will go ahead in spite of US sanctions, Gazprom states

An official at Gazprom told a Moscow conference that planning permissions for the Russian trans-Baltic gas export pipeline will go ahead in spite of US sanctions and their interpretations, as the newly imposed sanctions did not prevent the company from borrowing abroad. The United States introduced several rounds of sanctions against Russian companies and individuals for Moscow’s involvement in the Ukraine war and for suspected meddling in the US 2016 presidential elections.
