Russian Foreign Minister, Mr Sergei Lavrov met with Cyprus President Anastasiades at the presidential palace in Nicosia to sign agreements in the sector of education and the economy in general; including agreements on humanitarian and philanthropic issues between the two countries. Several Cyprus-Russia bilateral contracts have been signed following the visit. Mr Lavrov was also a guest speaker at the 127th ministerial session at the Committee of Ministers for the Council of Europe hosted last week in Nicosia, which was met with great appreciation by audience members, another sign of a successful trip for both relations.
