RCB to become ‘major’ Cypriot bank

By in

Since the remaining capital restrictions in Cyprus were lifted in April, RCB Bank has been steadily building up its strategy to further develop its domestic business according to a source.
RCB wants to become one of the Island’s major banks, and will attempt to attract upscale clients, whether they are depositors or borrowers. RCB now holds two branches, and intends to expand by adding four more by the end of the year.

The statistics given to the public by the bank through their website are showing the increase of their loans ratio since 2014. Especially considering the current situation with the Cyprus Banking system, where other banks are unable to provide new credit to their customers, RCB is now promoting such services.

RCB is one of the four Cypriot banks that are under supervision of the ECB since last November and a new media advertising campaign was recently launched, stating that RCB’s service hours will be extended to benefit more people. When other banks are available for the public until 2:30 p.m., RCB will be available until 5 p.m.
