President Anastasiades seeking to boost Russian investment in Cyprus

During the 10th summit of the Cyprus-Russia Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, the two countries have signed a protocol outlining the possibilities and prospects for expanding their long-lasting cooperation, focusing in the area of investments for innovation, technology, health, education and energy. Subsequently, this sparked the satisfying response from prospective investors for the island, over the dinner invitation in Moscow, this week. Briefly, President Anastasiades will introduce the numerous investment opportunities, in the island, supported by a presentation by Mrs. Pilides, the director general of the organizing party ( that is the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA)), on “Advancing our Strategic Partnership”. Finally, CIPA will also discuss private investment projects with companies as arranged by Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development, and visit the Skolkovo Innovation Centre.
