Over half of Singapore employers expect to award incremental salary increases in 2017

Approximately 46% of Singaporean employers have stated their intention to give pay rises to their employees; increases between 3 – 6% are to be expected, according to a survey by Recruitment Company Hays, which down by 8% from the previous salary review period. It also found that a further 8% of employers expect to give increases of between 6 – 8%, while 3% plan to give a 10% raise or more.

“Singapore is a resourceful nation, but the economic outlook for 2017 is challenging so it’s not surprising to see employers taking a moderate approach to salaries” said managing director of Hays Singapore, Lynne Roeder.
