Malaysia revokes decision to impose GST on 60 new items

Malaysia were set to go ahead with charging GST (Goods & Services Tax ) on a further 60 items, however Malaysia’s Royal Customs Department made the announcement that this will be reversed. Following a consultation with the Finance Ministry, the decision came to revoke the new regulation, which was going to be enforced on July 1st and included produce such as tea, coffee, fish, frozen goods and certain fruit.
