The fifteenth annual Meeting of the Guangdong-Hong Kong Expert Group on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights was held in Guangzhou, Hong Kong with participants agreeing to further strengthen co-operation.
The Director of Intellectual Property said the group’s joint projects will increase this year to 23, including consolidating the co-operation on intellectual property trading in the Guangdong Free Trade Zone.

The group’s co-operation developments for 2016 to 17 also include improving the mechanism of intellectual property co-operation items and guidance services, reinforcing work on cross-boundary protection of intellectual property, and organising marketing activities.

The two sides reviewed the co-operative projects completed in the previous year, and stated how law enforcement agencies in both locations have continued to battle against inter-continental boundary infringement using intelligence exchange and joint operations.
