Half of accountants now expect a promotion within two years of being hired

Accountants are asking for quicker career progression routes after recent reports show that individuals in the accounting profession are becoming increasingly ambitious as well as wanting more recognition after having to study for more years after graduating than the average degree. (Excluding medical courses). The survey found that over two thirds of accountants aspire to reach senior positions such as CEO or Director eventually in their careers. Of the 2,100 accounting firms surveyed, 75% claimed to be ambitious with private sector accountants and 75% of credit controllers being the most ambitious professions.
