Four More Jurisdictions Sign up for BEPS OECD Agreement

A great step forward for the global right against tax avoidance as New Zealand’s Taxation Bill Neutralising Base Erosion and Profit Shifting was officially implemented, mirroring the BEPS convention and has and has been in effect from July 1st.

Additionally, Peru, Kazakhstan and the UAE have also joined the OECD’s Multilateral Convention on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting, envisioned to reduce tax avoidance by multinational enterprises. Estonia also vows to sign later this month as well. The Convention came into force on July 1st 2018 for 5 of the countries that signed last year in 2017.
