EU’s Biggest Trade Deal to be concluded with Japan; more to follow

The biggest trade deal that the European Union has ever entered into is to be concluded, whereby trade barriers between the two parties will be significantly reduced. Not only will this create business opportunities to benefit both Parties’ economies but it is also important, as was stated, in “sending a clear signal to the world that EU and Japan are committed to keeping the world economy working on the basis of free, open and fair markets with clear and transparent rules fully respecting and enhancing our values, fighting the temptation of protectionism.”

The Trade deal aims to allow access to the Japanese automobile industry by the EU, and access to European farming products by Japan. The agreement is said to be concluded as early as January 2019.
