EU Ministers Veto Country-Wide Reporting of Multinationals

Last month, the EU council of ministers officially obstructed a proposal for full country-by-country reporting of international businesses turnover and profits in each EU Member State.

The following 12 Member States rejected the proposal, making the proposal unenforceable in its current format:

Austria.
Croatia.
Cyprus.
The Czech Republic.
Estonia.
Hungary.
Ireland.
Latvia.
Luxembourg.
Malta.
Slovenia.
Sweden.
