Last week, the Cyprus Parliament voted on a change in the law to start regulating the cultivation and supply of medical cannabis to island residents. Going forward, the Cyprus government will control the legal import of cannabis seeds, the production of pharmaceutical cannabis plants, exporting and controlled research for medical advancement.

The new law will also deliver regulations to prepare for medical or pharmaceutical manufacturing, and for free provision of medical cannabis for patients deemed to be eligible.
