The key factors taken into account to decide the figures were: CO2 emissions, average life expectancy, national police personnel, traffic related deaths, theft & assault cases, per 100,000 people. Cyprus and the other 4 countries that made the top have an average 46.62% lower safety score than other countries that participate in the study. Switzerland, Singapore, Spain, Japan joined Cyprus in the top 5 safest countries worldwide.
