According to the information provided by the Hermes airports, 10 million passengers travelled through Paphos and Larnaca airports in 2017.

On the occasion of the 10 millionth passenger to use the Cyprus airport this year and left the airport in Larnaka on Monday morning, a special celebration took place. The first passenger was German Gediminas, a permanent resident of Cyprus, who followed the flight from Larnaca to Brussels.

During the first six months of this year, Larnaca Airport became the third airport that has the largest number of passengers in Europe, ranging from 5 to 10 million per year, according to the airports council international data (ACI).

Transport Minister Marios Demetriades said that there is no reason for complacency, but noted that for Cyprus air transport this is a remarkable indicator.
