The World Happiness Report is an annual survey conducted by ranking the state of global happiness in countries by assessing how happy their citizens perceive themselves to be. The scores are based on respondents’ ratings of their own lives in their own respective countries, which the report also connects with various life factors.
The report ranks Cyprus 49th out of 156 on the list of the world’s happiest countries, far higher than previous years, according to the latest World Happiness Report. In 2017, Cyprus ranked 61st; a small improvement on its 2016 ranking of 65th.
