Clause allowing the consumption of precious Cyprus song-birds protested

The Association of Food and Beverage Establishments has condemned a clause in a government bill that allows the consumption of precious songbirds at restaurants in Cyprus. The loophole stipulates that as long as the birds have been cooked in advance by the hunters who killed them, they can be eaten legally. The association protested the clause, as it allows the eating of said birds, which is currently banned in Cyprus for ethical and environmental reasons.
