Chinese companies are actively buying cheap European assets

The Chinese Company COSCO Shipping is currently the fourth largest in the world for the number of chartered vessels it holds has recently acquired a 51% stake in the largest Greek port of Piraeus for 280 million euros. Apparently, the Chinese want to change the delivery of cargo to Europe to go through Greece, and not the Netherlands or Germany which are regularly used at the moment. Earlier, the Chinese government released their plans to finance a high-speed railway line from Greece to Central and Western Europe for transporting goods.
