China & South Korea Criticise US Protection Tariffs on Imports

By in

In connection with Donald Trump’s intentions to protect domestic producers from external competition, new import duties on imported washing machines and solar batteries have been introduced in the United States.

The first 1.2 million large-sized washing machines imported during the first year will be taxed at a rate of 20%, further supplies – at a tariff of 50%.

However, the main exporting countries of these goods, China and South Korea, have made demands to reconsider this decision. They believe that the US introduction of such measures will damage the entire world trade.
