British Overseas Territories' Deadline for Public Registers Delayed Until 2023

By in

Good news for UK Overseas Territories who have been campaigning for less strict regulations regarding the implementation of public beneficial ownership registers. It has been announced that territories such as Jersey, BVI and the Cayman Islands have been allowed an extension to the implementation deadline and will not be obligated to create such registries until 2023.

The desired aim as per UK parliament demands was previously 2020; a much earlier and more demanding deadline for all territories and their companies.
