CIPA (Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency) launched the Cyprus start-up visa programme in Asia at the largest start-up conference, actively promoting Cyprus as an appealing destination for start-ups in Asia.
Following this, the programme permits entrepreneurs from third countries, outside of the EU and the European Economic Area (EEA) to enter, live and work in Cyprus in order to create, operate and manage a start-up with a high potential for growth.
Moreover, CIPA also recently participated in the international conference ‘Rise’ in Hong Kong. ‘Rise’ saw more than 500 start-ups were given the chance to showcase their products and services to 15,000+ attendees from 100 countries.
Invest Cyprus board member, Kyriacos Kokkinos, discussed the importance of organizational attributes to the digital economy while emphasizing the value and collaborative role of organisations and start-ups in the aim to transition to the digital era.
Kokkinos proceeded to significantly reinforce Cyprus’ start-up Visa programme as a core example of how countries support and promote their start-ups ecosystem to collaborate and be established within the wider global start-up sphere.
