According to estimates of the recently published report of the Anti-Phishing Working Group more than USD $1.2 billion of cryptocurrency has been stolen since January 2017. This is due to the growing popularity of bitcoin and more than 1500 other cryptocurrencies in the unregulated market.

This is one of the problems that is observed, in addition to such criminal activities as money laundering and drug trafficking using digital currency. It is also noted that the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which recently came into force, can negatively affect the overall security of the Internet, as it will significantly hinder crime investigation due to data privacy related to this sphere.
