US: Trump and Xi’s Cautious Telephone Call over North Korea

By in

President Donald Trump advises that all countries involved should refrain from any sort of provocation, in a telephone call with China’s President Xi Jinping.

Xi told Trump that in order to resolve the North Korean nuclear issue, an amicable resolution was necessary. Xi Jinping’s longing for peace came a while after President Trump’s threat to North Korea that the U.S. military was “locked and loaded”.

Yesterday, the head U.S. military officer told his comrades in South Korea that the United States is more than willing to employ all of its military power to defend its nation and its allies from any North Korean harassment. Both Xi and Trump have a close relationship due to their shared commitment to denuclearizing the Korean peninsula.

As confirmed by the Pentagon, The U.S. and South Korea would still go ahead with a joint military exercise in the next 10 days.
