US State Department releases fundamental AML report assessment

Each year the US State Department assess the money laundering circumstances in approximately 200 countries, and has recently published its annual report identifying ‘major money laundering jurisdictions’. The report highlights the most significant steps the identified jurisdictions have taken to improve their anti-money laundering management & systems. Some are small international financial centres, however Portugal, Spain, the UK, Italy and Canada are also on this year’s list.
