UK law is catching up to the ever-growing use of the internet and the use of digital wallets and services. The Cyber-Attacks (Asset-Freezing) Regulations 2019 came into power a week ago on June 11th, allowing UK Treasury ministers the power to freeze accounts and assets of individuals or entities from outside the EU that have been suspected to be associated with any criminal activities in the form of cyber-attacks.
