Tourists in Japan are growing in number

According to expectations of the Japanese government, about 20 million tourists will have visited the country throughout 2016. The year is marked by the growth of tourist influx from China (25%) as well as other Asian countries (19% Korea, 16% Taiwan), which is attributable to relaxed visa rules in Japan together with the introduction of new routes and additional flights by various airlines.

The Japanese government plans to expand measures that would promote tourism. Rough estimates show that by the 2020 Olympic Games, the flow of tourists will go up to 40 million people per year to be later expanded to 60 million in 2030.
