As the hunt for those wealthy elite that are evading tax by the use of offshore bank accounts ever widens, the search itself has expanded to multinational corporations. Since the global financial crisis of 2008 the devastated countries of the developed world have been tightening rules and legislations and now wish to tighten them further to stop multinational corporations reallocating revenues and profits to low-tax jurisdictions, where they may not even have any real operations.
