After Singapore’s economy experienced five consecutive months of growth, experts are surprised to see a drop last month of exports involving non-oil domestic exports which was experienced due to a sharp decline in pharmaceutical and medicinal related exports. Total exports dropped by 7% from a year earlier, data from a Singapore-based trading agency showed this week. They also fell on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, with April’s exports 9% down from March.
