At the beginning of the second quarter in 2019, the low-cost airline Ryanair intends to open a new route. Flights connecting Kiev and Paphos will be carried out 2 times a week according to the proposed schedule.
The head of the Paphos tourism board Mr Nassos Hadjigeorgiou stresses that these flights are of paramount importance in order to increase the prestige of the destination and the Paphos International Airport. For winter 2018, Ryanair has planned 12 new routes from Paphos thereby increasing the airport’s capacity by 74 percent compared with to last year.
The Paphos tourism board has reacted positively to the announcement of the Ryanair consolidation and the opening of new flights and also noted that such vigorous activity will give additional impetus to the development of the economy and various sectors of tourism.
Paphos is getting closer to its goal of re-establishing itself as a year-round destination increasing tourist flows and strengthening cooperation with various airports.
