Russia Denies Obstacles for Bilateral Relations with Cyprus

Moscow have released an official statement reporting that there are no obstacles for bilateral ties with Cyprus as a result of relations with other countries. In an interview with a Cyprus news agency, Mr Stanislav Osadchiy noted that Moscow considers the issue related to the comments of the ruling leader of DISY closed.

Earlier the leader of DISY said that Russia which provides support to Cyprus is focused on cooperation with Turkey for reasons related to politics and energy. He also confirmed that Cyprus is part of the West. According to him, taking into account that national interest is understandably logical and no other country will do it for Cyprus.
