The Finance Ministry in Poland has drafted an enactment imposing a 19% corporate exit tax on high net worth individuals (HNWIs) who move their permanent residence abroad.

It will come into force next year in 2019 for those with money related assets worth more than USD $530,000, and will tax the estimation of any capital gains that could have been acknowledged if the exchange had not occurred, as per the Council Directive (EU) 2017/1164, or the Counter Tax Avoidance Directive.
