OECD: The Number of Financial Exchanges Soaring

According to the latest OECD figures, 94 countries are now automatically exchanging financial account information under the OECD Global Forum on Transparency & Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes’ Common Reporting Standard.

This year, approximately 6,200 bilateral-financial exchanges have taken place so far, which is 37% higher than the previous year in 2018. Additionally, 7 more jurisdictions have committed to joining the reporting system in 2020, namely:

Albania.
Ecuador.
Kazakhstan.
The Maldives.
Nigeria.
Oman.
Peru.
