SINGAPORE: economists lower growth forecast in MAS survey

Economists in the private sector polled in the quarterly survey say they expect Singapore’s economy to grow 2.7% this year, down slightly from a previous forecast of 2.8%. Experts are now less optimistic about the growth outlook for the Singapore economy this year, and have moderated their growth expectations for numerous sectors, according to a survey conducted for the first quarter of the year as released by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) this week.
