Singapore & UK Announce their Partnership for the Future

This week, Singapore and the UK broadcasted the launch the creation of a future alliance to strengthen and develop relations between the two influential jurisdictions in Europe & Asia respectively.


Last month, the valued non-profit organisation, the World Economic Forum (WEF) released its Global Competitiveness Report for 2018, ranking Hong Kong as the 7th most competitive economy globally, with the Asian hub losing its position of 6th place in 2017 out of 140 other countries worldwide.


Singapore has been chosen to host the world's biggest trademark event in 2020, announced the INTA last week. The association's 142nd annual meeting will be held from April 25th to April 29th 2020 at the infamous Marina Bay Sands resort.


Following a recent meeting with Singapore, the European Commission has presented the outcome of the negotiations to the European Council; marking the first steps to completing the European Union-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA).


ACRA have recently updated their guidelines therefore bringing it transparently in line with other jurisdictions. Following this, businesses will be offered a copy of their business profile and the amount of information available for public use will increase substantially.
