Legislative progress regarding New Zealand’s Trusts Bill has been waiting for parliamentary consent since October 2018, due to being put on hold for more pressing matters. The New Zealand Justice Committee’s statement recommended for its approval and sent their revisions last year.

The current Auckland government seems to be giving priority to other pressing matters in New Zealand over the Bill; which implements burden on trustees to notify every beneficiary of all trust types concerning certain basic trust information.
