New Global Economic Risks -as warned by IMF Director

IMF managing director Lagarde speaks during the debate In a time when many emerging countries are trying to implement, restructure and develop their economies, Ms Christine Lagarde (International Monetary Fund, Director) has warned of new global challenges. These challenges, already being evident from the BRIC’s economies (Brazil, Russia, China, and India) have seen growth forecasts reduced from previous predictions. The director’s advice was for India to revert to internal infrastructure and for to China to concentrate more on consumer oriented products. Emphasis was also given on economies to concentrate on monetary policy.
