New EU Standard for Married International Couples in Europe

By in

New European regulations overseeing married couples with international partners property disagreements came into force in 18 Member States last week with effective resolutions for certain cross-border situations.

The new rules generally found and support the relevant local courts and law at national levels applicable upon the separation of assets after the dissolution of a marriage or death of a spouse. They will avoid future corresponding, and possibly contradictory or incompatible court rulings; creating a standard between Member States that is fair and just for all cross-border marriages within Europe.
