Russian Subsidiary in UK Ordered to Pay Indemnity Charges in High Profile Case

A Judge in the UK has ordered the Russian airline Aeroflot to pay indemnity costs to the estate of a Russian national who died in suspicious surroundings in London earlier this year. The company claimed that the late Russian, together with an acquaintance had misappropriated large sums of money from the company for two years ending over a decade ago in 1998.

Aeroflot sustained proceedings against Berezovski's estate after his sudden death however promptly dropped all proceedings the day before the case came to court as per Aeroflot Russian Airlines v Trustees of Boris Berezovski.
