Migration Experts: Passport for Investment Schemes Pose no Threat to Europe

Experts from the investor immigration industry are maintaining the assertion that the citizenship-by-investment programs being carried out in Cyprus, Austria and Malta pose no security risk to those or any other countries within the European Union due to the strict background checks, rigorous due-diligence procedures and fiscal record verification checks performed on all candidates.

In response to the European Justice Commissioners instructions to issue more stringent rules for EU Members States' golden visa programs in late last year, the Investment Migration Council noticed that the visa schemes process merely 700 to 1,000 applications every year which accounts for around 0.1% of new European visas issued.
