Malaysia Cancels Billion Dollar Railway Project

Last week, Malaysian government officials released bad news for Malaysian public transportation, as a multi-billion-dollar railway project that was being planned for construction in Kuala Lumpur has been cancelled. China previously agreed to fund the project and have unfortunately pulled out due to the cost of construction being too high.

This is not the first major project planned during the previous governments problematic regime that has later been cancelled under the new office. The new government in Malaysia is more concerned about reducing some of the public debt left behind by their predecessors (totalling USD $250 billion).
