Malaysia, Indonesia to jointly counter EU discrimination against palm oil

The European Parliament adopted a resolution in April aiming to prevent deforestation and ensuring that only environmentally sustainable palm oil can be imported into the European Union after 2020. In reality, however, this action, is due to be counted from both Malaysia and Indonesia, as it will jeopardize more than 18 million smallholders in both countries. Raising the topic during the ASEAN-EU Summit, it did catch the attention of Donald Tusk, who promised that he will personally look into the matter.
