Google Saved EUR €20 Billion in Tax Using Double Irish Scheme Since 2017 Alone

The latest in corporate tax evasion, as the extent of Google’s profit shifting was just released by its Dutch subsidiary, Google Netherlands Holdings Ltd. The US tech giant reportedly moved almost EUR €20 billion revenue for international royalties into a holding company in Bermuda in 2017, according to financial reports that have just surfaced.

Google used what’s known to tax experts as a Double Irish, Dutch Sandwich tactic which is still lawfully allowed in Ireland, however will be slowly repealed next year in 2020.
